About Your Business Guide
We (David and Lisa) started out as hobby potters in 2013 and grew our hobby into a small business. That small business grew and eventually eclipsed David's day job, leading us to take the full time plunge into pottery in 2023.
In addition to running our pottery business and homeschooling our five children, David was the practice manager for a successful dental office, overseeing all business operations (including HR, payroll, regulatory compliance, etc.) and a dozen employees.
With a heart to teach and many lessons learned over the years, David leads our business coaching classes. Lisa will join to teach along the way, especially when we discuss Social Media.
The Structure:
Twelve Weeks of
90-Minute Calls
Twelve sessions that build your knowledge and confidence to grow your pottery business. Not too long, not too short. We aim to deliver content in manageable, bite-sized and schedule-friendly sessions.
Fridays
12pm-1:30pm EST
Lunchtime for East Coast makers and 9am for Westerners. This aims to allow folks to join no matter what part of the country you live in. Also, all sessions are recorded, so you won't miss a thing!

I might have scheduling conflicts... what if I miss a session?
All sessions will be recorded and available so you don't have to worry about missing a session from time to time!
I'm new to pottery and a bit unsure of myself--is this the course for me?
This course is for those who have started making pottery (whether for a short or a long time) but are interested in next steps. It's not for someone who has everything figured out, just those who are wanting to grow.
How big will the class be?
We're going to keep the class size intentionally small with no more than a dozen students. We want to make sure that it's a very intimate learning environment where everyone can get feedback and have their questions answered.
Do you offer refunds?
We don't offer refunds for this program because it's a live, high-support experience. However, we're 100% committed to helping you succeed! If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure at any point, we'll work with you to get back on track.
Are there guaranteed results?
Like every time you open your kiln (or like just about ANYTHING else in life) there are no guaranteed results.
